Nacogdoches Farmers Market Spring Fling

Bring the whole family out for a day of fun at the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market Spring Fling event! Activities kick off at 8:00 a.m. downtown at 107 W. Pearl St. with entertainment for all ages.
The Fredonia Hotel will be hosting the SFA ring dip! The Big Dip is a right of passage for upperclassmen, and is held at the end of the fall and spring semesters. DIP stands for "Dipped In Pride”…purple pride that is! The water in the Dip is from the Stephen F. Austin fountain. Anyone who has received the SFA ring can participate in the Big Dip no matter when they received it.
SFA will hold graduation ceremonies May 18th in the Johnson Coliseum.
Commencement ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Johnson Coliseum with candidates from the James I. Perkins College of Education and the College of Fine Arts. Candidates from the colleges of business, liberal and applied arts, forestry and agriculture, and sciences and mathematics will participate in a 2 p.m. ceremony.
Blueberry Bluegrass Concert Nacogdoches Blueberry Festival

Concert in the Park will take place at Festival Plaza in downtown Nacogdoches. The toe-tapping fun continues on Saturday, June 8, with Pickin’ on the Square, a new Blueberry Festival event that encourages bluegrass musicians and fans to stay for the whole weekend. The concert will feature food trucks, including some local farmer's market favorites selling homemade items, as well as catfish, barbecue, corn dogs, fried green tomato sandwiches, vegetarian options, soft drinks, blueberry lemonade and lots of water. Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The event is family-friendly, so no coolers or alcohol will be allowed.
The 29th Annual Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford-Lincoln and produced by the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 10 in historic downtown Nacogdoches.
The festival begins at 8 a.m., Saturday, with sweet blueberry entertainment, arts and craft vendors, tasty treats, shows and activities all will enjoy through the day. Look for more exciting blueberry-inspired fun in Nacogdoches after the festival closes at 4 p.m.
