Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5pm - 9pm, The Republic Steakhouse is a reservation only establishment.
You can make reservations by calling the hotel (936) 564-1234 or click the button above to reserve a table.
We have limited availability for parties 5-8 and parties larger than 8 will be seated at different tables. For parties larger than 12, please contact us directly for the availability of a private room and steakhouse menu (room fee plus food and beverage minimums required)
by emailing us at restaurants@thefredonia.com.
You can book 30 days out of the current date and reservations will be canceled 15 minutes after initial reservation time.
Our reservation system will ask for you to put a credit card on file. This is only for the cancellation policy and will not be charged for any other reason.
Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less before the reservation time will result in a $50 cancellation fee.

Although, due to the setting of The Republic Steakhouse, we ask that you do not wear baseball caps, swimsuits, cutoffs, or flip-flops.

For the enjoyment and pleasure of all our guests, we ask that patrons be 5 years of age or older.
Due to the layout of our dining area, high chairs are not available.
Please notify us of any allergies in advanced so we can recommend dishes around certain dietary restrictions.
We ask that any phone conversations be taken outside of the dining area to provide a pleasant atmosphere to other guests.

The Fredonia Hotel's newly opened Republic Steakhouse is the ultimate East Texas fine dining experience
that carries an elegant and intimate atmosphere as well as undeniable attention to detail in every dish.
The Republic whisks you away to a time when Frank Sinatra sang and Marilyn Monroe stole our hearts,

Our menu features only the finest ingredients; including prime beef, fresh seafood,

A majority of our beef is sourced from Texas, and includes 44 Farms' Black Angus and Heartbrand Akaushi Beef.
The Akaushi beef has extraordinary taste and health benefits unique to the Wagyu breed, and was once watched over by Texas Rangers.
The Texas Akaushi cattle are the full blooded descendants from the Emperor’s herd in Kōbe, Japan,
and now accessible to you at The Republic Steakhouse in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Our Chef, Doug Atkinson, and owner, Richard DeWitt, work hard to create a classic and unique menu that we know our guest will fall in love with. Whether it be our family style sides or decadent house-made sauces to top off your steak, we serve our best to make sure that you are experience at The Republic exceeds any other. Our Maine lobster tail, Seabass, and tuna are fresh seafood we have delivered hours before the doors open on Thursday evening. We take pride in doing things the hard way, aging our steaks at minimum of 45 days.
The Republic bar boasts high-end spirits, from Louis XIII to the signature "Sinatra" Jack Daniels, plus a variety of high end aged scotch and whiskeys. There is a great collection of wines from different regions and countries to perfectly pair with your meal and will continue to develop the wine list as we progress forward. Make your evening extraordinary and have your cocktail smoked in our signature smoke box; with choice of cherry, hickory, alder, or mesquite wood flavoring for a special touch. This adds an exquisite flavor profile that takes any well-balanced cocktail right over the top!
